KTV marathon!!! (Part 1)

Just last week i had this 2 day marathon ktv birthday parties for 2 of my classmates, Kenneth and Kok Haw.

First up, we went to this ktv in chinatown on sunday night. It's located at a street call Smith Street and it's the cheapest ktv i have ever been to(come to think of it i have only been to kbox.) - just 10 dollars. Not only that, it comes with free flow of drink and a shark fin look-a-like soup (actually it's some soup with vermicelli). The ambience around was not too different from what u can get in kbox. And i have to mention this. They have lots of english songs which u cant find in kbox so perhaps this will bring another option to english singers.

I have known Kenneth for almost 8 years already. We had been classmates not just in sec 1 and 2, but also sec 3 and 4 (he's the only guy from my lower sec class to go same class with me.). Thinking back, we had a lot of fun and comical moments together. But sadly i was sucked into the lure of street soccer during sec 4 so i think we didnt talk as much as we used to after that. I dun think he has changed a lot over the years, still the same loyal trustworthy guy, but probably with bit more curry, chili and spice to his life(He's a clubber!! but not sure he still go there nowadays).

Overall, it was a simple but very fun affair. I thoroughly enjoyed it and i guessed everyone feel the same way too.

i'm goin to bed now since i am having the new balance run early in the morning tomorrow. Will be back with more..............................

Matchday 28/10/07

Ok i must admit that i was lucky not to have place any of my tips for epl saturday night. I was quite tempted into taking the underdogs again (man city ending chelsea's home record and boro avoiding a thrashing from man u), but after witnessing how these sides stuttered against their bigger opponents, i just feel that it may not be a bad idea that i focus all my attention on the liverpool vs arsenal match for this week.

Contrary to what everyone will be expecting, i am going for a liverpool win this time (surprise??). Ok ok. i am backin that partly because i wan to see man u climb up the standings faster. But of course, i'm not going to waste all your money based on that (i know how hard u all earn ur money).

First and foremost, arsenal has been winning too many games. Sometime someday that has to end somehow right? So much hype has been said about arsenal's sublime game play and arsene wenger's tactical astuteness. But frankly, arsenal probably has the thinnest squad depth among the top four and i find their game not really up there with the team which went unbeaten a few seasons ago.

Talking about liverpool, i dun think i have much to say. Dull, stale, monotonous, boring are some of the words u can describe them. There have been lots of speculation about the wily old fox benitez, but i genuinely believe he will stop the rot of defeats his side has suffered recently and hit top gear tml.

I'm quietly confident about how this match will end. If i have a chance tml, i wont mind placing some bucks on it.

Matchday 20/10/07

After a week of international football, it's back to epl again. This time, i have a feeling there may be a few surprises....

I'm not going to exactly say which teams are going to be in for a shock but international football will definitely take a toll on the conditions of players in bigger clubs. Travelling long distances results in jetlag. Playing for your own country is something u take pride in. These factors essentially require more commitment and focus than weekly club football so dun be alarmed to see bigger clubs like chelsea and liverpool suffer in this case.

This week i'm going for something bolder than usual. I'm backing birmingham to at least grab a point from city of manchester because the lack of international football in their squad will make them fresher compared to city's. The star performers for city (Elano, Petrov and Richards) have all played tough international games. Petrov full 90 mins in albania, elano long trip from brazil and of course, richards on the gruelling pitch in russia. These will adversely affect their performances coming tomorrow, so watch out for birmingham.

I also believe that liverpool will not take 3 points from everton(maybe 3 red cards will be a possibility). So i am going for another liverpool draw cos i always believe that boring teams are normally draw specialist. 1-1 for them.

And surely, villa will get whacked by man u.

Hot news: Triumph wins the day!!!

Before i go into my weekly predictions again, i saw this straits times article which should have made the headline in the newspaper.

Triumph, the smashing lingerie company, will be arranging 2 hrs of the last friday of every month to be a 'Guys-only' shopping. This means no more discomfort for guys when they step into the shop, guess the size of the cup or even play with the straps....

Most of u by now will probably be laughing their heads off or accusing me of being yellow minded.. Hey, i am being serious now. If u compare this to the rising property prices or the cpf issue, i believe this piece of fantastic news has a bigger impact cos it's going to affect half of the population, and indirectly the other half(which means whole singapore will be involved).

Looking at the long term, this innovative idea by Triumph will no doubt help to push up the birth rate in singapore (Govt always complain no babies, now Triumph will be the perfect role model for ideas...). By buying such lovely stuffs for their partners, girls will realise a new dimension in the sex appeal of modern guys (what do u think?). This will prepare both parties for more romantic nights and ultimately, babies and marriage.

Triumph has made the whole singapore excited again. But of course when good things come, bad ones dun go away too. After the 2 hours triathlon, be prepared to see bra cups "depressed", holes in underwear and even broken straps. This is the hard work of , not inexperienced guys, but dirty perverts (u not me) who will toil every precious second inside. That, Triumph will have to closely monitor and catch the bastardsss......

Matchday 13/10/07

After last week's liverpool match, i started to receive more and more phone calls. Most called to thank me for the tip and they were equally happy with the big bucks they have won. Some heralded me as "The Next Big Thing" while others said since mourinho had left epl, the title "The Special One" should belong to me now. Well, good things come to u when u achieve success.

It's very flattering to have all this attention, and when u do let it get into your head, u become complacent and think that u r the next big f*** around. Sorry. Friends of mine will know that i'm a person who keeps both feet firmly to the ground, so i wont get carried away by my new idol status. But of course, i wont mind basking in all these attention for a while......

It's a bit sad there's no epl this weekend, which means most ppl will probably stay up to watch only the England vs Estonia match(10pm). But i am goin to divert the attention onto England's neighbour, Scotland, where they will try to prove their credentials as potential Euro 2008 quality product. I will be going for a scotland win because u can feel that there's this sense of optimism in the scotland camp that they can go all the way after beating France in the last match. Personally, i hope either Italy or France will get knocked out cos it's so boring to see every tournament having the same big teams over and over again. (This applies for epl too. I hope lousy liverpool get out of the top 4 and give the chance to more entertaining teams.)

I dun like international matches as it's very unpredictable and odds are extremely low for those straightforward ones. So i will suggest punters to change to 4D or toto this weekend and wait for the next round of epl.

Matchday 07/10/07

My tip for today's matches will be taking a draw for liverpool vs spurs. Both clubs have not been impressive in their recent matches.

For liverpool's last 4 matches, they have managed only one scrappy win, 2 draws and the most recent champions league defeat to marseille. But having said that, spurs have been far more unconvincing in the epl and are currently languishing in the relegation zone. However, i am backing spurs to take the game to liverpool because their winless streak has been absolute rubbish and far too long.

But keeping in mind that liverpool are playing at home, i believe a draw will be a fair result to both. Bet with caution though. A draw is never a certainty which explains the high odds..

Good luck.

Matchday 06/10/07

Ok. i know what u all are goin to say.

YOUR TIPS SUCK LOSER!!!

LOUSY SHIT!!

KNN!!!!!!!!

But wait. At least give me chance to explain la..

I chose chelsea to beat the handicap of -1 1/2 agst fulham last week which sadly ended in a dull 0-0 draw. But did u all watch the match or at least read the match report? Drogba was sent off! Terry was injured midway during the match. I'm not going to use terry's injury as an excuse for my mis-prediction. But drogba's dismissal is a satisfyingly valid reason. 10 man vs 11 man? That's unfair. My tip was based on a 11 vs 11 case. As what they say, the ball is round. But in this case, it is square.... So rightfully, last week's prediction should not be counted...

I have to admit la, i'm starting to feel some pressure by u all people who depend on my tips. Because of this, it's been tough for me these few days.
I cant sleep and eat well.
I dreamt of families broken up because of betting.
I dreamt of people hanging themselves.
I dreamt of drunkards running to the road to get bang by cars.

It's about time i end this misery.

I will step up my research for this week's match.
Dun worry. I promise 11/06/07 will be one smashing day when u all reap the benefits of my predictions. U can happily laugh your way to the bank soon....

I will be back with my tips. So dun go away..

Heartbroken

Ok i know this is wrong. But people, next time if u wan to visit the dentist, think twice. Cos it's indeed a very very costly mistake..

People say visit the dentist every 6 months. So after 6 years, i decided it's about time i visit one.
But in the end.......

Haha.. Ok never mind if u cannot see clearly. But if u try to strain your eyes on this bill, or use some ultra adobe technology, this bill states $123.05. Oh. And if u strain your eyes further, you can see the cost for the respective dental services.

Consultation $26.75
Scaling/Root Planning $32.10
Polishing $32.10
X-ray $32.10

As u can see, besides scaling(dunno wat is that) and x-ray, seeing a dentist can easily set u close to $60 off.

Anyway, why i did a x-ray is because the doctor said i have one wisdom tooth comin out. Here's the picture..

As u can see again, notice the bottom left tooth a bit come out compared to the rest. Yup thats my wisdom tooth. He advised me to take it out. But of course the cost comes into mind again.

So besides the cpf issue, i have found one more problem for all u diehard singapore complain-kings to complain. Good luck. I go sleep liao..
