Newcastle to prevail..

Sorry in a hurry now.

With Kevin Keegan's arrival at newcastle, it has definitely brought about a sense of optimism at St James Park. A surge in morale will be expected and be prepared to witness fans become tiger and lions roaring again. Ignore the fact that they lost players through injuries and African Cup, everyone will be geared up to impress their new boss.

Newcastle to beat -1 1/2 against a nowadays weak bolton side.

First week of hell

Ok it's back to sch after one month plus of holiday. It wasnt short nor a long one. Put it into other words, it was a period which allowed me to salvage some fresh air, nonetheless the length of the duration was just spot on to send my precious still functioning brain juices straight into the rhythm of Sem 2.

After months of being underloaded, i took up the option of taking 6 modules this sem.

EC1301 Principles of Econs.
My first foray into the heartlands of the Arts Fac. It's essentially a course taught by Arts but the students actually came from different facs in NUS(Engine, Arts, Sci,...). Even so, the eye pollution which have been affecting me since i attended engine lectures was no more. The fresh air around me was enough to make me stay awake for majority part of the first lecture. I cant wait for my next lecture...

MLE1101 Material Science and Engineering
The lecturer with his "British" accent is trying hard to make himself understood to everyone. Not an easy task since he's from China but i find him still ok. If the first 2 lectures are anything to go by, it looks as though it may not be a that tough module to study. But sadly this translates to tough competition too.

EG1108 Electrical Engineering
The lecturer with the true British accent. Not sure of his qualifications but i am not surprised if he specialises in english literature. Sometimes he likes to start his sentence "Dow shall not do this do that in exams......" Eh i think this module not easy.

MA1506 Maths
Same hong kong lecturer with his hongkie accent. I felt that the things taught were hard considering that it's only the start of sem. Let's keep our finger crossed and hope things will become better...

PC1432 Physics
20 something different chapters will be taught which means it will always be a struggle to keep pace with the lectures.

EG1413 English
Not yet started.

FA Cup: 05/01/07

Ever wonder what makes the FA cup that fascinating compared to normal weekly epl action among the big clubs? Well it's that sort of fever when imagine, our touted-to-be 2010 World Cup hopeful Lions entertain giants like Iraq which boasts stars like....... (i dunno). But u get the idea la. Knowing that your local lads rank as serious underdogs(or even no-hopers), u cheer for them frantically when they touch the ball, or go into ecstasy when they somehow managed to put the ball over the goal line. Even if your team doesnt win, no bad feeling will linger because their shag-cannot-think faces tell u they have put every drop and ounce of blood and energy into the game.

It's very disappointing to see liverpool, with all its prestige and past glories, now struggle to get into the champions league next year. Seriously, liverpool has been over rated every season. Finishing almost 20-30 pts behind the champions every season is a way no no title contender. Sometimes i just wonder why Tom Dicks and Torres went to liverpool.

I dun see Luton getting past liverpool at this stage of the competition. But with home advantage and an under strength liverpool set to be displayed, i believe they can suck the hell out of liverpool and force a replay in Anfield. Moreover, with so many poor displays in previous matches i see no solution yet to their morale. Benitez must be sweating even when he is sleeping at home.

I will highly recommend Arsenal's youngsters to get a 2 goal win agst burnley. Under strength they may be, these young guys are no pushovers and they all are a match for their senior squad members. Still remember they squeeze a full strength liverpool 6-3 in FA cup also?
